This project explored the haunting feelings of dread, fear and helplessness that come with the fear of re-lapsing from an invisible illness. The monster figure is an illustrative interpretation of this, forever looming and lingering in the background, invisible to others but always waiting and willing to strike again.
To exacerbate the helpless feeling that comes with dealing with an uncontrollable, unpredictable illness, I played with scale and designed the monster to seem so large and overpowering that it could never be defeated.
